HI THERE! I’M BRANDON HUNT
BIO
I am a passionate Waterloo engineering graduate who wants to make a meaningful impact on the world. I am most driven by helping others and being part of a team, a bigger picture. I currently work as an AI product manager. I have always had an interest in entrepreneurship, and working across different team areas, which drove me towards product management.

I have worked on both hardware and software products at Teledyne DALSA, IBI Group, George Brown College, and SickKids Foundation. You can check out my portfolio for some of the public ones!
Pitching our idea (buddy board) at a hackathon was the most energizing thing I have done in my career. While at the event, I led a cross-functional team to develop a software product and business case that connected families. I found a new sense of drive and what felt like limitless passion - leading a team to help improve other people’s lives. This was the most energizing thing I've done in my career and I found out later that a role like this actually existed! That role was product management.
I am an achiever who is fueled by learning and my passion to help others. When making an important decision, I keep an open mind and consider input from all sources to make the best choice. One of my biggest strengths is remaining calm and engaged even during times of pressure- I thrive on this.

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES

DRAGON BOAT
I first discovered the sport of dragon boating in first year university. After my first race I was hooked on the sport and continued paddling for 4 years! I've learned so much from being part of a competitive team: working exceptionally hard, and being truly together. I had 5 practices a week, plus 2 gym days on top of my full time job! All that hard work paid off and scored us 2nd place at the canadian nationals in 2018!
PIANO
I started playing piano when I was a young child and continued through the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum to level 8. At that point i decided to stop taking lessons and play other , non-classical styles of music such as pop, classic rock and orchestral.
READING
I enjoy reading non-fiction books for knowledge! Some of my current reads include:
-
Emotional Intelligence 2.0- Jean Greaves & Travis Bradberry
-
The Lean Startup-Eric Ries
-
Cracking the PM Interview- Gayle Laakmann McDowell
